CONSTRUCTION: Wood Frame LOCATION: McLean, VA DATE: 2000-2002 CLIENT: Raghib The project involves additions and renovations to an existing single family residence located on a wooded lot in a suburban neighborhood. The important issues include consideration for a third generation living suite, sensitivity to the Mediterranean roots of the client and space for three children to grow and play. Furthermore, the designer incorporates the site and it’s views, creates a home that could be used for entertaining, and serves as a homebase for the internationally travelling family. The design creates a compound that could be built in phases and accommodates the users’ needs. |
